Apiffany Gaither graduated from Meredith College with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology in 2012 and Nova Southeastern University with a master of science degree in mental health counseling with honors in 2015. Apiffany is a North Carolina board-certified licensed clinical mental health counselor associate (LCMCHA).
Apiffany’s clinical experience includes an array of services involving day treatment, community mental health, crisis and acute residential treatment, and private practice in both North Carolina and California. Apiffany enjoys working with anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, and trauma. Apiffany is trained in intuitive eating with nutrition, yoga therapy, and trauma-focused therapy. Apiffany is certified as a Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional. She focuses on adolescents and young adults ages 10 and over and also works with adults.
Apiffany implements cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and person-centered therapy. She utilizes an integrative approach of therapy that provides each client with individualized treatment to accomplish his/her/their goals.
When not working, Apiffany enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and five dogs. She loves aerial arts, yoga, reading, and fostering puppies.
