Ashley received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University in 2014 and a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in December 2017 from Pfeiffer University. She is currently working on her certification for Yoga Teacher Training to incorporate a holistic approach in therapy room.
Ashley works with a variety of individuals of all ages dealing with life transitions, mood and affective disorders, and marriage, parenting or family concerns. Ashley’s dedication to therapy comes from her personal experience with medical and mental health related matters. She has a passion for working with medical related issues, eating disorders and LGBTQIA populations.
Ashley uses a narrative and solution-focused approach when working with individuals, couples and families in order to help them better identify their values and skills when working towards therapeutic goals. She focuses on the development of a trusting relationship between herself and the client to accomplish established goals and foster a safe environment for growth.
Ashley’s forms of selfcare include crafting, gardening, yoga, traveling, adventuring in the mountains, and spending time with family and friends.
