Jojo Hoffman Skinner, MA, LCAS-A
Jojo Hoffman Skinner is a 2020 Masters graduate from Pfeiffer University’s
Marriage & Family Therapy program. She also received her undergraduate
degree in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, from Argosy University. Jojo
received her license in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT-A) and is dually
licensed with additional licensure as a Substance/addiction therapist
Jojo served on the NCAMFT board for two years, and upon graduation
transitioned into a position with the Pfeiffer Alumni Board where she
continues to give back to the therapeutic community she loves.
Jojo has worked with many populations, including individuals, couples,
families, and groups, and offers the following unique specialties in
addition to helping clients experiencing anxiety & depression: body image
challenges, overwhelmed women, empaths and highly-sensitive people,
perfectionists, road rage, separation & divorce, addiction, anxiety &
depression, and pet grief and loss. Jojo approaches her work with clients
through the lens of Experiential, Narrative, and CBT and DBT.
Jojo currently works with Southlake Counseling in both the Lake Norman
area, and the Concord Mills area. Topics of exploration in therapy sessions
might include parenting strategies, the impact of resentments, dual career
challenges, working from home together due to COVID-19, and stress
management techniques. She believes when clients feel understood, they will
naturally begin to heal by exploring their deepest motivations in life and
begin to navigate the path forward. She remains curious about what clients
want to change as well as what is going well in their lives.
