Amber Young (she/her) graduated with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master's in Nutrition from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She went on to complete her dietetic internship at Meredith College and become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) with licensure in North Carolina. Amber's specialties include eating disorder recovery, intuitive eating, and management of health conditions through gentle nutrition. She has eating disorder treatment experience in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. She values continuing education and frequently pursues opportunities for advanced training in disordered eating and evidenced-based counseling techniques.
Amber practices a client-centered, non-diet approach through a weight-inclusive lens. Her goal is to provide a judgment-free collaborative space for individuals as they recover from disordered eating, cultivate a peaceful relationship with food, and tune into their inner intuitive eater. Amber believes that every story deserves to be heard and she'd be honored to hear yours. Outside of the office, Amber loves trying out new recipes and being outdoors with her husband and two pups, Clementine and Azalea.
